England cricket fan forced to leave the Galle stadium despite waiting 10 months in Sri Lanka 

A devoted England's cricket fan Rob Lewis, who waited 10 months in Sri Lanka to watch his team play,was escorted by the police before the ball was played in the first test on Thursday.

Rob Lewis, who wanted to remain in the country last March after the initial coronavirus pandemic started,tour was aborted, had to resort to subterfuge to sneak a glimpse into the day's action.

After spending 10 months on the island of Lanka, the supporter did not get a chance to watch the England game on the field. Yet he did not back down. 

With the permission of the police, this English supporter has come to Gaul Fort and hung three flags in support of the country .Although he is not happy about that. Instead, he is trying to get permission to watch the match by meeting the police chief. "I've been waiting to see this match for 10 months," Lewis said."

England came to play the Test series in Sri Lanka in March last year. That's when Lewis came to watch the team play. But he could not return to England due to coronavirus. That is why he stayed in Sri Lanka. He later worked as a web designer and nightclub DJ for a living After 10 months, the English returned to Sri Lanka, but he did not have the fortune to watch the game on the field. The government has banned spectators from entering the field due to coronavirus. That's why Lewis did not return to the field.
