Team India Names Four Changes for Boxing Day Test

Team India has announced the team for the upcoming Boxing Day Test against Australia, which is starting on Saturday, December 25. After having lost the first Test by 8 wickets, Team India has brought four changes in the absence of Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami.

While Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant have made their way into the team in place of Prithvi Shaw and Wriddhiman Saha, two youngsters will make their debut - Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj. However, many thought KL Rahul will come in place of Hanuma Vihari but he couldn't find a place.

Gill, who has been considered as next big thing in Indian cricket, is all set to make his debut despite having faced a rough patch recently in limited-overs formats. However, he is expected to step up in the absence of key players in the team.

On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj, who has been in form in the domestic circuit, has been considered as one of the best bowlers there. However, he needs to prove his worth in the longer format as well. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant, who has returned again in the circuit, scored a well-made hundred off 73 balls. Having a fair share of success in Australia, he is likely to replicate his form as well.

Meanwhile, India will have two spinners - R Ashwin and Jadeja. With Jadeja's inclusion, the team will have the proper balance, as Jadeja has been in a great form both with the bat and the ball. Apart from batting and bowling, he is a brilliant fielder too and he would like to show his calibre once again.

India playing XI:
