Shakib doesn’t count domestic performances

Shakib Al Hasan returned to International cricket with a great spell of bowling and gave the Tigers a strong ground to seal the victory against West Indies in the first ODI Wednesday. But the batsman Shakib, who was put a great show in the 2019 World Cup could not be found himself during last domestic tournament Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Even today he wasn’t make any big impact with the ball. He scored 19 from 49 balls.

Shakib returned to cricket after overcoming a 365-day ban imposed by the International Cricket Council (ICC). He scored 110 runs in 9 matches at an average of 12.22 in the tournament. Where his highest run is 26.

Shakib has been widely criticized for this. But Shakib doesn't actually keep track of domestic performances. After winning the first ODI against the West Indies by 6 wickets, he accepted the award for the man of the match and said it openly. In this match according to Shakib, he batted well today.

“I don't count all the domestic games I played, outside the dressing room people may think about it but I don't think about it. Should have finished the game tonight, but will work on it and will try to finish next time.” said Shakib after the match.

Shakib thinks that this victory against the Windies will give an advantage to play normally in the next match.
