The Caribbean’s planning to tie-up Bangladesh between 240-270

The ODI series between Bangladesh And West Indies is knocking at the door. West Indies is not coming with a full strength team in this tour. Still, the West Indies are dependent on the youngsters. They have also set their own goals. Sunil Ambris, co-captain of the Caribbean ODI team, thinks the result will be in their favor if they can tie Bangladesh to 240 in 270 overs."

In our bowling attack, I think we can defend 240 to 270 runs in this condition," Ambris said in a virtual conference on Friday (January 15).

Ambris is an experienced batsman and played against Bangladesh. His goal is to keep that form. He is also aiming to play smart cricket against the Tigers, he commented, 'My cricket has not changed. My tendency is to stay positive. I try to play smart cricket. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. He has often done more than he expected against Bangladesh.'

However,Bangladesh's wicket has always been spin friendly. Ambris is optimistic the wicket will not change much. So, he is preparing to face the challenge with the bat. “Hopefully the pitch won’t change too much,” Ambris said.

The Caribbeans lost 2-1 in the ODI series after being whitewashed in two Test series against Bangladesh about two years ago. However, they were back home in relief after winning the T20 series 2-1.
