Bangladesh Test captain Mominul Haque had surgery on his right thumb at the Burjeel Hospital, a Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Wednesday.
BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury said that Mominul had gone under the knife today and is expecting him shortly.
‘’Mominul had the operation at Burjeel Hospital in Dubai,’ said Debashish.
Mominul fractured his right thumb while fielding for his team Gazi Group Chattogram in the Bangabandhu Twenty20 Cup against Gemcon Khulna on November 28.
With a home Test series against West Indies knocking at the door, Mominul has around one month to recover from surgery and regain form before the series, slated to commence in mid-January.
