Road Safety World series set to begin from March

Road Safety World Series cricket tournament has been announced to begin from March 2 to 21, it was confirmed on Sunday by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. However, the former cricketer’s series was suspended due to corona pandemic. This year, the reunion of former cricketers is starting again. The main objective behind the tournament is to make the masses aware of the importance of road safety in India.

The tournament will see legendary players from India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Australia and the West Indies including Sachin Tendulkar, Jonty Rhodes, Brett Lee, Brian Lara and Muttiah Muralitharan.

The tournament has been approved by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and supported by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The series is hosted by Gavaskar's Company Professional Management Group.

After the IPL in the UAE, Raipur will be the first city in India to host a cricket tournament during the Corona pandemic.
